Kasane is a town located in the North-West District of Botswana, on the Chobe River. There are no borders between the small town and the Chobe National Park, and elephants, hippos and other game can often be seen wandering along the road and through Kasane campsites.
The town is strategically located along the main tourist routes of Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Approximately six kilometres from Kasane is the tiny border post, Kazungula, between Botswana and Zimbabwe and is the docking point for the Kazungula Ferry between Botswana and Zambia.
